Abstract
The purpose of this article is the role of competitive advantage in the strategic management of businesses. This research is based on the purpose of a review and applied research and the method of data collection in this research is of the library type, which is by reading books and articles from internet sites and Reliable domestic and foreign databases have been collected. If the factors related to the competitive advantage are continuously in the flow and the implementation of the competitive advantage will improve the internal and external performance of the organization, and any company by copying the organization's approach cannot capture the position of the organization in the market. Because for the survival and prosperity of their companies, they have to deal daily with the uncertainties introduced by the fast-paced environment, and the results show that gaining and maintaining a competitive advantage in today's highly competitive and changing environment is one of the concerns of business managers.
