Today, among the growing industries, the tourism industry is of special importance for many countries due to its impact on the production process, employment and economic development. The awareness of the communities that tourism provides a very suitable and considerable source of foreign currency income to the economy of a country has caused tourism to find a very broad concept in different economic, social and cultural dimensions and to be considered as an industry. Tourism is one of the activities that has a high ability to influence people for their tendency towards entrepreneurship. Entrepreneurship is important because it leads society to technical and innovative changes and causes economic growth, as well as transforms new knowledge into new services and products. The current research has investigated the role of tourism industry on entrepreneurship and its place in economic development by using descriptive-analytical method, using library and documentary sources. The results of the research show that tourism with its own dynamics can have major effects on economic, social and environmental developments at various international, national and local levels, especially entrepreneurship and economic development. The arrival of tourists to a country is the basis for increasing job opportunities. Therefore, the tourism industry can be considered as one of the factors affecting entrepreneurship, job creation and economic prosperity.
